Working directly with Senior Interior Designers and Project Leaders on projects including Hospitality, Retail, Residential and Hotels. The Interior Design team works as an integral part of Buchan on large scale architectural and interior design commissions, as well as undertaking stand-alone interiors projects. Activities in Interior Design include every aspect of the design process from concepts through to Construction Stage Services and full Contract administration. The Interior Designer has developed a sound knowledge base but is still developing and growing in the project design and delivery space. The Interior Designer is moving from executing tasks set by others to planning and assembling these tasks to deliver project outcomes, utilising graduate resources at times. The Interior Designer is learning all that is required to deliver a project from briefing to coordination of other consultants, delegating tasks and further developing their client relationship skills. The Interior Designer is often part of a larger interiors team, but can work in isolation under the direction of a Senior Interior Designer or Senior Architect. Position Specifications Bachelors Degree Interior or Industrial Design; or Associate Diploma in Interior Design and Decoration; or Architectural Graduate. 3-5 years’ experience with a large complex project experience in interior design or other equivalent project experience. Previous experience working on complex commercial architecture projects in Retail, Hospitality, High Rise Residential or Mixed Use. Skilled in Revit/BIM, CAD, SketchUp and VRay. Strong design and documentation experience Knowledge of project documentation, production and coordination requirements In-depth understanding of Adobe Creative suite. Intermediate Microsoft Office user. The ability to be flexible and work as part of a team.
