The Tasmanian State Service (TSS) is the largest employer in Tasmania, with over 28,000 employees providing services to the Tasmanian community at all levels.
As part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality mental health services in accordance with the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan, the Psychologist will:
* Undertake the delivery of quality care to clients of the Child and Adolescent, Adult Community, Inpatient, and Extended Treatment and Older Persons Mental Health Service based on best practice principles and within a collaborative and multi-disciplinary framework.
* Provide a specialist assessment and treatment service to clients of Child and Adolescent, Adult Community, Inpatient, and Extended Treatment and Older Persons Mental Health Service and their families or carers.
* Promote community awareness in relation to mental health and act as a consultant to other agencies with regard to the support and management of clients with mental health needs.
* Ensure the delivery of a comprehensive clinical service through the provision of assessment, case management, and individual therapies, including specialised therapies for clients and their families or carers.
Minimum Requirements:
* Tertiary qualification/program of study required to be approved by the Psychology Board of Australia.
* Psychologist to be registered with the Psychology Board of Australia.
* Where required for a particular role: Area of practice Endorsement (e.g., Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, Counselling Psychology, etc.).
The Team:
* The Glenorchy Community Care Team is a vibrant multidisciplinary team including Lived experience workers, Nurses, Psychologists, Social workers, Occupational therapists, and Psychiatrists.
Details of Appointment:
Permanent, full-time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $106,966 - $123,013 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You’ll have access to salary packaging and a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
* Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum.
* Please note that access to salaries beyond $115,573 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.
