TAFE SA is seeking a qualified and experienced professional to join our Automotive Workgroup as a Lecturer in Automotive. This role offers a unique opportunity to impart your industry expertise to students while contributing to the development of future heavy vehicle specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality training and assessment to students in Heavy Vehicle automotive disciplines.
* Develop, implement, and review learning materials that incorporate flexible delivery methodologies and industry best practices.
* Maintain current knowledge of technical skills, industry standards, and e-learning platforms to support the learning experience of students.
* Collaborate with industry stakeholders to ensure training meets workforce needs and aligns with ASQA requirements.
Requirements:
* Trade Qualifications: Certificate III (minimum) in relevant industry trade qualifications (Such as: Heavy Vehicle/ Mobile Plant/ Agricultural).
* Training Qualifications: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40116 or later) or currently working towards it.
* Experience: Proven industry experience in automotive trades (Heavy Vehicle/ Mobile Plant/ Agricultural) and established relationships with industry stakeholders.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in relevant technology, software packages, and learning management platforms used in Automotive Vehicle programs.
Special Conditions:
* The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed.
* Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).
* Out of hours work may be required and a flexible approach to the hours of duty is essential.
* Some Intrastate and interstate travel may be required.
* May be required to relocate to other campuses within TAFE SA.
* A flexible approach to the taking of leave is essential.
