These services include Primary Health Care, Aged Care & Community Services and Family & Community Wellness.
What’s the role?
Mala’la Health Service provides Primary Health Care services to Maningrida and surrounding homelands under a Community Control model. Mala’la is seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in Child Health for our Healthy Under 5’s Program. To be a successful Healthy Under 5’s Nurse, you will be able to promote and provide comprehensive and culturally appropriate health program for the children of Maningrida Community, and work collaboratively with other stakeholders in Maningrida.
Key Responsibilities
* Work within the Healthy Under 5’s Program in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team to provide high quality prevention and treatment
* Identify and prioritise Child Health needs by working collaboratively with families and the broader community
* Provide a culturally safe, competent and comprehensive care
* Develop and maintain a strong referral pathway
* Work with the broader team including external agencies

Is the role right for you?
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
* Min 5 years broad nursing experience post registration and 3 years working in a primary health related field in a remote context, preferably in Child Health
* Remote experience with the ability to participate in on-call roster
* Qualifications and experience directly related to Child Health, preferably in community setting
