The opportunity
As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the retirement village facilities are maintained and presented as professionally as possible at all times. This will include:
1. Communicating with village managers to complete maintenance works based on urgency and priority
2. Ensuring routine maintenance works are addressed within the required deadlines and documented accordingly
3. Completing general repairs and maintenance tasks such as basic carpentry, painting, and gardening
4. Coordinating and supervising trades onsite
5. Ensuring all administrative and reporting procedures associated with maintenance are completed
About you
You will be a person who enjoys working in a community environment, is highly trustworthy, and has empathy for older people.
In addition, you will have:
1. Previous experience working in building & grounds maintenance
2. First Aid Certificate
3. Drivers Licence
Prior to commencing in this role, you will also need to obtain a working with vulnerable people check.
