The Role As the Executive Assistant to the CEO, you will play a vital role in supporting the CEO with administrative functions and operational coordination. You will be tasked with managing their day-to-day needs, acting as a liaison between senior leaders, employees, and external stakeholders, and ensuring seamless communication across the organisation. What You’ll Do Provide proactive administrative support, including managing the CEO’s calendar, scheduling meetings, organising travel, and ensuring timely delivery of documents and briefings. Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times. Act as the key communication link between the CEO, senior leaders, employees, and stakeholders. Handle correspondence and support effective communication across the organisation. Ensure the CEO’s visibility over daily operations and support the execution of CEO-driven initiatives. Improve workflow and organisational efficiency. Organise meetings, events, and agendas to align with the CEO’s priorities. Ensure the CEO is fully prepared for meetings and external engagements. Support the Office of the CEO by managing and implementing actions in alignment with business needs and delegations of authority. Align actions and decisions with Water NSW’s core values. Prioritise safety in all activities and role model safe behavior across the organisation. Key Challenges Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Stay informed on emerging issues that may impact the organisation and anticipate challenges for the CEO. Effectively manage multiple priorities and timelines to meet business objectives. Mandatory Candidate Requirements What we are looking for: Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent. Proven experience as an Executive Assistant to a senior executive or CEO. Exceptional organisational and communication skills. Strong ability to build and maintain professional relationships. Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicting priorities and negotiate deadlines. Proficiency in technology solutions and problem-solving. Experience working in a diverse environment, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and discretion. A current NSW Driver’s License. Favorable Candidate Requirements Experience working with government stakeholders or in a government context is a plus.
