As Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll function for 1,000+ employees across Australia and New Zealand in multiple payroll entities and ensure payroll processing is completed accurately in a timely manner and deliver excellent payroll services to all employees.Key AccountabilitiesManage and lead fortnightly in-house MicrOpay payroll across multiple entities in Australia and New Zealand to ensure payroll processing is completed accurately in a timely manner.Review payroll processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance of payroll processing in accordance with company policy as well as legislation of relevant countries. Work with Head of HR Core Deliveries and HR Service Centre teams to continually review processes to identify system solutions/automation for process improvements for optimal use of Payroll and HRIS systems.Ensure configuration of both MicrOpay and Humanforce systems aligns with Awards.Lead and ensure the accuracy and integrity of all data entered, and its availability on a timely basis.Manage and lead the Payroll function across system administration, metric reporting and analytics, system enhancements, operations and service excellence delivery.Represent the Payroll Team across domestic and international forums and key stakeholder groups.Lead projects involving strategy, implementation, and optimization related to Payroll and HR Service Centre operations delivery model, digitization, end-to-end process and data integrity.Coach and mentor a team of 4 payroll specialists.Perform miscellaneous tasks/projects as directed by manager.QualificationsTertiary Payroll Management or Finance qualification or related field (desired).Skills and AbilitiesFunctional understanding and knowledge of underlying Payroll, Time & Attendance and service delivery processes (MicrOpay, Humanforce and Success Factors).Reporting tools (MicrOpay and Success Factors).Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel).Good analytical and numerical skills as well as being highly detail oriented.Clear understanding of how overall Payroll fits into short- and long-term strategic objectives.Capability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.Exceptional problem-solving and time management skills.Experience in managing end-to-end in-house payroll processing (initiation, planning, design, development, test and validation, go live, run).Implementation of systems using effective Project Management Methodology.Experience in using Payroll systems (preferably MicrOpay and Success Factors).KnowledgeAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software and experience in Payroll Systems.Understanding Payroll processing management and the Employee Lifecycle and associated processes.Knowledge and understanding of Payroll policies/principles, relevant legislation for both Australia and New Zealand and current trends.
