Job Description
* Lead and support audit, risk management, and compliance across the organisation, ensuring alignment with mission and values. In partnership with the Senior Leadership Team, oversee risk and governance registers for accurate data tracking and trend analysis.
* Provide expert advice and support on complex audit, WHS, HR/IR, and change management issues. Stay current on audit practices and legislation, applying these effectively across the organisation's systems and providers. Manage data reporting and analysis to meet internal and funding requirements.
* Drive enhancements in quality, WHS systems, and business processes, maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders to address emerging needs and risks. Offer periodic feedback to the leadership team on key organisational issues and trends.
* Actively support team operations, ensuring continuity during staff absences. Contribute to business development efforts, including funding submissions, to expand service options. Participate in line management and team meetings, upholding a commitment to continuous improvement and the mission of Centacare NQ.
Preferred Skills and Experience
* Degree or extensive relevant experience, or a mix of both qualifications and expertise.
* Strong background in quality and safety, with skills in legislative interpretation, policy development, and complex issue resolution.
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, skilled in building professional relationships with diverse stakeholders.
* Advanced consultation and negotiation expertise, providing trusted advice and maintaining credibility across all levels.
* Proven supervisory or management experience, fostering a values-based, service-focused team culture.
* Skilled in operational planning that aligns with organisational mission, values, and strategic goals.
* Valid open driver's licence.
* Active Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening clearance.
Desirable:
* Post-graduate qualifications.
* Experience in HR, payroll processing, or payroll system implementation.
* Background in community services or faith-based settings.
* Familiarity with ELMO or similar HRIS platforms.
