Cedar Creek State School is seeking a Head of Special Education Services (HOSES) to lead inclusive practices within our school community.
This role is offered on a full-time permanent basis. Within this role you will have the opportunity to:
Promote an inclusive culture and practices within the school community to ensure equity and excellence for students with disability. Develop and support a high quality of teaching and adjustments for students with disability in accordance to related legislation and policies. Promote a culture of learning with a Positive Behaviour for Learning initiatives & trauma informed practices lens. Lead and manage a highly functioning and productive School Services Team to support students, staff and parents of our community. About Cedar Creek State School

About the Role
The ideal candidate will be able to work in a team environment to lead and manage people and a range of educational initiatives to ensure that students reach their full potential.
The HOSES will be an integral member of the Leadership Team to support the leadership and management of the school and ensure that a culture of learning is optimized within our learning community.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage and coordinate the delivery of high-quality advice and support provided by the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program. Lead and manage the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program to provide advice to classroom teachers for students with disability as needed. Provide high quality advice to the school leadership team, classroom teachers and other school staff to develop, plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability. Coordinate and provide intensive targeted teaching for students requiring intervention. Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.
