Home Lending Specialist
As our highly valued Home Lending Specialist based in our Toowoomba Branch your role will be to provide support and serve the local community as the first point of contact for our customers and their retail banking and lending needs, supporting our purpose of helping every Australian own their own home.
* Home Lending Specialists build an ever-growing business network and actively promote Great Southern Banks's products and services to deliver on our Purpose and increase our target market share.
* As the Home Lending Specialist, you work as a team with your Branch colleagues to serve our existing customers, helping them with new lending as well as developing new referral networks to introduce new lending customers to your branch.
· You manage and own your home loans through to completion, grow your pipeline and constantly scan for opportunities, helping all Australians own their own home.
You’ll make an impact by:
· Leadership: As a highly experienced and successful lender, you are seen as a senior team member in the retail network and a respected subject-matter expert.
· Networking and Lead Generation: Well-known and well-respected in your local community, you work closely with your Branch Manager to promote the Great Southern Bank Brand and purpose to our existing and future customers, through regularly strategic networking and business development activities.
· Sales Performance: You are accountable for the day-to-day operations of your service, including meeting service standards and performance targets.
· Process and Operations: You maintain a strong knowledge of Great Southern Bank’s lending and ancillary products, and you adopt sales strategies aligned with the divisional business plan
Do things differently with us
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience mortgage lending/credit assessment
* Demonstrated experience in working with all banking products
* Proven ability to network with key stakeholders and previous experience pursuing leads and obtaining business through network activities
* Self-motivated, driven and results oriented with a proven ability to apply cross-selling techniques for products and services
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong customer and sales focus
* Ability to problem solve complex financial problems
* Strong ability to work autonomously whilst still maintaining strong connections with your team
* Demonstrated exceptional stakeholder management
You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following:
* Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Financial Services Code and Acts (e.g. FSRA, Credit Union Code of Practice, Privacy Act)
* ASIC Tier 2 requirement or ability to rapidly acquire
* Cert IV in Mortgage Brokering (desirable)
