Experienced Public Lawyers – Administrative Law / Statutory Interpretation / Information Access
The Roles and Responsibilities
We currently have multiple secondment opportunities with various high profile Commonwealth Departments for experienced administrative lawyers and information access lawyers. The positions involving providing legal advice and support to in-house clients on:
* the interpretation and operation of portfolio legislation;
* administrative decision-making;
* legislation processes and legislative instruments;
* information law, including privacy; and / or
* fraud processes and investigations.
Successful candidates will be required to work as a secondees within the Commonwealth clients’ in-house legal team. As such, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are required.
Essential Requirements
The following are essential requirements for these positions:
* a current practising certificate;
* experience advising on Commonwealth administrative law, statutory interpretation and / or information law matters; and
* minimum baseline security clearance and willingness to complete any additional security checks required by the client.
