The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Psychologists or Social Workers (Early Intervention Parenting Service Clinicians) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
1. Deliver professional level services to families with children aged 0-8 years of age, presenting with complex needs
2. Effectively manage a clinical caseload of clients, providing evidence-based clinical interventions for families adjusting to parenthood, with a focus on building parenting capacity
3. Apply increasing independent clinical judgement and knowledge to more complex clinical decision making in keeping with experience
4. Effectively maximises therapeutic relationships with clients through seeking to understand clients' viewpoint and uses skills demonstrating compassion and negotiation advocacy and conflict resolution
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
5. A tertiary degree in Psychology or Social Work
6. AHPRA Registration (Psychologist only)
7. Eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (Social Worker only)
8. Driver Licence
9. Blue card / Working with children check (GCH will cover cost)
10. Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
11. Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
12. Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
13. Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
23. Temporary part time (several positions, up to 12 months with the possibility of extension, minimum 45.6 hrs per fortnight)
24. Base salary ranging from $38.70 - $56.89 per hour

Child Community Health (CCH) - Child and Family Health service (CFHs) sits within the division of Women, Newborn and Children's Services (WNCS), offering multidisciplinary, community services for children who reside in the Gold Coast area. CCH is a child centred, family focused health service, which includes promotion of health and development, early detection, early intervention, and care coordination. This is achieved through enhancing opportunities for families to access support, developing relationships with community groups, building confidence and capability, and enhancing relationships between children and parents.
