This role involves curriculum development, supervising student research projects, and delivering high-quality periodontics education. The successful candidate will have a strong record in academic periodontics, recognised internationally for their research, and must hold specialist dental qualifications and a PhD in Periodontics or a related discipline, with eligibility for national registration through AHPRA.Your ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include:Delivering high-quality, benchmarked teaching with contemporary pedagogical insights to ensure high satisfaction in degree programs and CPD courses.Undertaking clinical teaching supervising treatment of student periodontic cases to completion of care.Demonstrating a proactive reflective teaching practice through seeking guidance from senior teaching staff and student feedback.Who We Are Looking ForThe successful candidate will have extensive clinical experience in Periodontics and a proven track record in clinical teaching, including course development and student satisfaction. They will excel in exploring new educational methods, possess strong research capabilities with an established publication profile, and demonstrate the ability to attract research grants and supervise research students. Additionally, they will work collaboratively and independently, building rapport within a diverse team environment.You will also have:A completed PhD in a relevant field such as Periodontics or a related discipline and a completed specialist dental qualification in Periodontics or Periodontology.Extensive clinical experience in Periodontics.A strong track record in research with an established publication profile.Ability to supervise research higher degree students, graduate and postgraduate research students through to thesis completion.This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
