Job detailsLong term opportunityWorking for a leading energy providerAbout The RoleWorkPac on behalf of our leading energy client are seeking 2 x Senior Health and Safety Advisors to join the team for a long term opportunity.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, coach and mentor team members and operational leaders to achieve the health, safety and wellbeing (HSW) operations goals.Develop sound working relationships based on mutual trust, with key stakeholders, to ensure HSW work is executed in alignment with the requirements of the operations.Support Synergy's HSW governance activities as directed by the health and safety operations manager.Participate in the development and execution of HSW strategies and related business plans.Participate in the development of the corporate HSW strategy and health and safety management system (HSMS).Contribute to the development, communication of and delivery of the Synergy health, safety and wellbeing business plan across Synergy sites.Monitor compliance of HSW operations work to the appropriate standards, systems, and processes.Evaluate practices and procedures to assess risk and adherence to HSW legislation.Conduct regular analysis of HSW data to proactively identify trends and recommend mitigating actions. This includes document governance.Provide end of month reports on HSW relating to Rehabilitation work activities against the HSW business plan, including challenges and recommended actions.Conduct follow-up action verification for control effectiveness.Conduct workplace inspections, field leadership and critical control observations.Provision of advice regarding the management of health and safety incidents, including providing information and support to enable external notification to regulators.Undertake analysis of health and safety incidents and hazards and risks to inform leadership and team members to assist with appropriate reporting and progression of continuous improvement opportunities for health and safety performance.Lead and support the facilitation of Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM) investigations as required.Schedule, conduct and report the findings of internal safety system compliance audits.Undertake qualitative risk assessments as required.Review on a regular basis the adequacy and effectiveness of emergency response procedures.Assist with the development of site-specific key safety performance indicators.Work in partnership with site health and safety committee members.Support the injury management and return to work processes.Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities and prevention measures.Conduct contractor pre-qualification assessments.Review and audit contractor health and safety management plans, and contractor safety performance.Key RequirementsMinimum 5 years experienceTertiary qualificationAbility to manage a teamJob Reference Number: 7019J202471896How To ApplyClick on the Apply button or for more information please contact Rebecca Ross on (02) 4927 7766 or via email - ****** quoting the above reference number.About WorkPacWorkPac is Australia's largest privately owned workforce solutions business.
