Your day to day: Pricing ReviewsWork alongside the Actuarial Pricing Manager to perform pricing reviews for each portfolio including: Review of current rating structure including inputs, algorithm modules and outputs Analyse policy, premium, claims, and market data to parameterise the rating structure Determine the required funding level for the portfolio Calibrate the model and perform impact analysis on current portfolio Automate and improve process for future reviews Performance Analysis & Monitoring Produce regular reporting on product, portfolio and policy level performance including rate adequacy assessment Conduct investigative work on portfolio to help Portfolio Managers to develop pricing strategy and profitable growth areas Develop and maintain rating tools and technical pricing models Develop and maintain rating tools to be used for pricing all business underwritten by Ansvar Manage helpdesk for pricing and rating tool queries from the business Contribute to the migration project from excel based rating tools to an online platform solution Collaboration with Group Collaborate with the Group Pricing function to uplift pricing and reporting capabilities across the group Take part in Global Actuarial Roundtable discussions on various actuarial topics Reporting & Compliance Contribute pricing input to any relevant internal, group or regulatory reporting requirements Maintain documentation of pricing processes for continuity management and audit purposes Assist in maintaining integrity of data management as required Mentoring, Learning & Development Train and mentor junior team members in their analyst work and actuarial studies to help build skill of existing actuarial team Opportunity to directly manage team members as the team grows Key Capabilities & Experience: 3+ years' experience in General Insurance Pricing as a Senior Actuarial Analyst or equivalent An Undergraduate Degree in Actuarial studies, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or equivalent relevant disciplines Completed the Actuary Program exams or part way through the Fellowship Program with the Actuaries Institute or equivalent, with the commitment to continue towards attaining the qualification of Fellow of the Actuaries Institute Strong coding capabilities in coding languages like VBA, SQL, SAS, R etc. Passionate about implementing transformational change in a smaller organisation Embraces and consistently displays Ansvar's values Excellent critical thinking, analytical and problem solving capabilities Meticulous attention to detail possessing a high level of accuracy Exemplary data analysis & statistical modelling skills Highly disciplined with excellent planning and time-management skills Strong personal, written and verbal communication skills Enthusiastic for collaboration with a positive "can-do" attitude Decisiveness on critical business issues and sound decision making Understanding of the Australian general insurance industry, and willingness to learn about Ansvar's core markets and how strategies work in the marketplace What we offer Learning and Development opportunities Employee Referral Program Flu Vaccinations Reward & Recognition Program with discounts and deals at 100's of local retailers Competitive Parental Leave Arrangement Purchase additional Annual Leave opportunity Hybrid work arrangement 3 office / 2 WFH Paid Volunteer day – 1 per year Community Education Grant Program EAP access for staff and families Participation in Ansvar's short term incentive scheme – up to 15% About us Benefact Group is a unique international financial services Group made up of over 30 businesses.
