Salvos Stores warehouse and distribution centre in Lismore, is looking for motivated Full-Time Permanent Drivers.
Reporting directly to the Logistics Supervisor, you will ensure that donated goods are recycled correctly and efficiently, and that every customer leaves with a good experience. Roles & Responsibilities
Working independently, you will have good communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills to assist you with:
* Loading/unloading loose goods, including furniture items;
* Performing general labor tasks together with a jockey.
* Distribution of goods to stores and assisting retail staff where required;
* Presenting a professional work environment and positive customer experience;
* Using an electronic device to complete delivery paperwork;
* Maintaining safe WHS methods and driving practices;
* Completing pre-start checks, reporting incidents, near misses and vehicle maintenance issues;
* Warehouse duties, e.g., processing donations, picking and packing, cleanliness and other duties as required by the Logistic Supervisor.
About You
Previous experience in multi-drop, courier or furniture removal, while highly regarded, is not essential. What is essential is a Driver's license, reliability, and a can-do attitude.
You will be a well-presented, high-energy, hands-on individual and will bring your proven track record in providing extraordinary customer service to the role. You will have experience in safe preparation, loading, and unloading of goods. Importantly, as someone known for your integrity, you will also be comfortable aligning to The Salvation Army Mission and Values.
Applicants must be able to work with limited supervision and demonstrate:
* Minimum 1 year's driving experience operating a medium rigid vehicle;
* Current Australian driver's license. Medium Rigid license preferred but not essential;
* Confident driving skills and a proven safety record;
* Multi-drop, courier and/or furniture removal experience, an advantage;
* Reasonable written and oral communication skills;
* Organisational and problem-solving skills;
