About our client
Our client is a private practice clinic consisting of allied health professionals that specialise in physiotherapy, occupational therapy and hand therapy. Located in Townsville, North Queensland – the sunny state, they are searching for either and experienced hand therapy OT, or an OT/Physiotherapist to join their team in Townsville. Additionally they also have an available position within their paediatric services for an occupational therapist.
Job Summary
Monday to Friday 8am – 5:30pm. Working with a mixed caseload of adults and paediatrics. As an occupational therapist/physiotherapist within the hand therapy team, you will have access to fully equipped therapy rooms, with progressive modalities including biophotomodulation and interX Therapy. You will have a mixed caseload, consisting of pre and post surgical rehab, injuries, neurological disorders and arthritis.
Our client is able to tailor your supervision / training around your experience, and provide ongoing clinical support & personal development opportunities, education sessions, conferences & courses.
Duties
1. Clinical Assessments and treatment
2. Collaborative work with the team to provide holistic care to clients
3. Contribute specialised knowledge and skills relevant to education in-services and seminars
4. Work with hand therapy team leader to guide clinic planning and programs
5. Support & empower clients with their treatment and recovery experience
Skills and Requirements
6. Relevant degree & AHPRA registration
7. First Aid, CPR training NDIS workers Screening or willingness to obtain
8. Full drivers licence
9. Full working rights
10. Able to meet all other compliance
11. 1-2 years experience (OT). Hand Therapy is advantageous but will consider someone willing to learn the intricacies of hand therapy.
