This may also cover a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.
Central Coast Local Health District, Oral Health Services are seeking a motivated, experienced Dental Assistant Grade 2 to fill temporary positions as a supervisor. The role provides supervision and direction to Grade 1 staff working within the District's fixed and mobile public clinics, ensuring compliance with infection control, Work Health and Safety, and all relevant policies and procedures, roster management, and ordering of stock.
About You
* You have demonstrated leadership qualities and proven ability to supervise and motivate staff, including coaching and mentoring skills.
* You have detailed knowledge of infection control and sterilising standards, policies and procedures, and the ability to work independently with good time management skills.
* You have a current valid Australian Driver's Licence and a paid Working With Children Check.
* You have a nationally recognised Dental Assisting Certificate at Certificate Level IV, or qualifications deemed by the Ministry of Health to be equivalent, and demonstrated significant experience as a Dental Assistant within a public oral health environment.
