The team at the unit support residents and help them develop skills required to live in the community, such as staying well – both physical and mental health including medication management, life skills such as cooking, cleaning and shopping, community access e.g. using public transport, community linking e.g. to sports or social organisations and return to work or study.
About the role:
The Assistant in Nursing performs the role under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse and is responsible for delivering competent, evidence-based nursing care within the scope of practice. The position works collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and reliable care is provided within the dynamic health environment of the Community Care Unit. The Assistant in Nursing with the Multidisciplinary Team will provide support and assistance to consumers of an adult age group with a diagnosis of a severe and enduring mental illness in their individualised recovery journey.
About you:
Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: It is highly desirable to have completed a relevant Certificate 3 or successfully completed equivalent of 12 months full time study in a diploma of Nursing or Bachelor of Nursing program.
* Demonstrates sound evidence-based clinical skills for an undergraduate student in Nursing/Midwifery.
* Ability to work well in a team and adapt to change.
* Committed to the delivery of high quality, safe patient centred care, practice, and service.

Salary information:
Total remuneration value of up to $82,239 p.a. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $33.20 - $36.35 p.h.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
