Job Description The Driver Assistant assists the Driver in providing efficient, safe, reliable, and courteous collection and delivery of all goods. Key Responsibilities Transportation: Assist the Driver in providing a professional, safe and reliable collection/delivery and storage of goods. Vehicle care: Assist the Driver in ensuring the vehicle is safe and fully operational by regularly checking tyres, fuel levels and monitoring oil and water levels. Diligently ensure vehicle is checked before each shift and rectify any issues before collecting donations, reporting issues and repairs to site/program/service manager. Administration: Assist with filling in the vehicle log book; ensure an identification badge and uniform is worn at all times. Communications: Assist the driver by contacting customers and donors, providing updates on collection/delivery times; assist with communicating to site/program/service manager regarding any concerns that may arise or if regular service is due. Below is what is required for this role: As this role could come into contact with minors, it requires a Working with Children Check/Working with Vulnerable People Check. As this role involves dealing with confidential information and entering sites, it requires a Police Check.
