Group Leader Building Structures - ( 240003Y3 ) Description The role of Group Leader is suited to a proactive individual who is looking to take the next step in their career. We are ideally seeking a qualified candidate with substantial experience across projects of various size and complexity. We are involved in a vast variety of project types including health, defence, education, commercial, justice, industrial, and infrastructure. You will be responsible for the management and strategic direction of the Building Structures Group. Provide required support to Project Leads (Building Structural Engineering) to ensure overall group is consistently focussed in terms of financial performance, QA adherence, risk management, and staff morale. Represent the company externally to Clients and play a senior and active role in managing these relationships. Reinforce cultural behaviours across the Group and the Buildings business. You will enjoy a diverse position and will need to have the ability to multitask and share your time between project involvement, business development, group performance and management responsibilities. Day to day tasks would involve: - Management of current and future workloads within the Building Structures Group to achieve attainment of financial targets whilst ensuring high staff morale. - Support and offer guidance to Project Leads, Engineers and Graduate Engineers to enable them to perform successfully at all levels. - Ensure that the Building Structures Group maintains an appropriate level of service to key Clients. - Design, documentation and construction phase activities including project review, liaison with client and consultant team, liaison with authorities, reporting, contract administration and quality audits. - Facilitate knowledge sharing and proactively engage with your discipline colleagues across ANZ and the globally. - Adhere to professional standards, ethics and Stantec quality procedures. - Contribute to our company culture. - Maintain a level of direct project involvement through the project management of projects. - Participate in and contribute to marketing and business development including leading the submission of proposals. - Be proactive in working with and seeking cross sell opportunities between other Buildings service lines, and other Stantec Business lines.
