We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The role requires assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions to assist patients in improving their daily living skills.
Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Summary: This is a contract position (monthly or fortnightly), and the therapist will work directly with patients on a monthly basis to achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess patients’ physical, emotional, and mental capabilities through detailed evaluations.
* Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
* Implement therapeutic exercises, techniques, and activities to improve motor skills, strength, coordination, and other necessary functions.
* Provide support and guidance to patients, their families, and caregivers to promote independence in daily living tasks.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, physical therapists, and nurses, to ensure comprehensive care.
* Document patient progress, maintaining detailed and accurate records of treatments, goals, and outcomes.
* Educate patients on adaptive equipment and techniques to facilitate better function and independence.
* Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress or changes in their condition.
* Provide monthly reports summarizing patient progress and therapy effectiveness.
* Keep up-to-date with industry trends, therapy techniques, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
* Education : A degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) from an accredited program.
* Skills :
o Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and treatment methods.
o Ability to develop personalised, evidence-based care plans.
o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
o Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
o Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
o Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
