Civil/Structural Designer Role Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing civil/structural design efforts, coordinating project design tasks, preparing technical drawings, and addressing complex design challenges.You'll play a key part in ensuring all design activities align with project specifications, timelines, budgets, and regulatory standards.Your role will involve collaboration with other engineering professionals, communicating technical solutions to stakeholders, and developing cost estimates and work plans for successful project execution.Core Responsibilities: Plan, develop, coordinate, and assess design activities within a civil/structural team on mid-sized projects.Create technical drawings and documents for earthwork, drainage, road design, foundations, and steel detailing.Support and guide daily tasks within the civil/structural engineering team, including specialists, designers, and drafters.Convey complex technical issues to management and offer recommendations.Develop or oversee project estimates and work plans for civil/structural design, adhering to scope, schedule, and budget.Liaise with client representatives to obtain necessary approvals on project stages.Review and verify critical engineering drawings, calculations, and project bids.Mentor junior civil/structural designers and drafters, providing training and development opportunities.Ensure designs and plans comply with applicable codes, regulations, and standards.Qualifications: 5–8 years of experience in a relevant role.Training or coursework in drafting, design, and engineering principles.Skills and Expertise: Proven experience in design and drafting, including team leadership or formal training in managing personnel.Strong knowledge of drafting techniques, engineering documentation, graphic arts, and reproduction methods used in civil/structural design.Ability to interpret and work with documents and drawings from multiple disciplines.Proficiency with design software, such as OpenRoads Designer.For more information on the role, the client or the project please click 'APPLY NOW' or contact Melanie Chalwell, on 0448 147 259 or email ****** ''
