Location:Perth (Welshpool)Remuneration:Attractive salary plus bonus opportunity.About Our Bulk West Division:Our Bulk West division is an expanding growing logistics offering that includes rail operations, ports and terminals, containerised freight, and trucking.About the Role:As the Customer Logistics Coordinator (Freight), you will take a leading role in promoting and coordinating customer service within the business unit. Acting as the primary point of contact for customers at the operational and logistics level, you will provide essential support in daily and weekly ordering and scheduling. Additionally, you will identify opportunities for improvement, driving and assisting in the implementation of operational enhancement initiatives.Manage and oversee the regular schedule for our Kalgoorlie Freighter, manage customer service requirements and issues including orders, variations, and network disruptions.Build and maintain customer relationships, actively creating opportunity to improve performance through regular formal and informal communication channels.Coordinate and optimise the utilisation of crews and equipment, including wagons, road vehicles, trailers, side loaders, reach stackers etc.Ensure fleet operates efficiently by minimising operating costs through effective planning and scheduling.Liaise with providers of all elements of the logistics chain, taking corrective action where appropriate should customer or operational needs hinder the viability or the performance of the business in the planning environment.Report forecasted service disruptions to customers, actively driving solutions and recovery processes.Liaise with internal stakeholders to schedule additional services to best meet customer needs, give instructions on loading priority (as guided by performance metrics across the Bulk West portfolio), and communicate details in emergency situations.About You:Experience: Experience in customer-facing logistics and supply chain management techniques that maximise the use of assets and resources.IT Skills: IT skills, particularly in Supply Chain Management / Freight Management systems, Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint.Communicates Effectively: Develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.Customer Focus: Build strong relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.Collaborates: Build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.Decision-Quality: Make good and timely decisions that keep the organisation moving forward.Optimise Work Processes: Have the ability to identify areas for improvement and assist in developing process improvement solutions.What We Offer You:At Aurizon, we support the development and growth of our employees.
