The Opportunity: Our client is looking for a Senior Residential Draftsperson with Australian volume housing experience to join them and become an integral part of their close-working high performing team. What you'll do: Working with an overseas drafting team you will check all drawings and documentation to ensure compliance in accordance with design and construction details dictated by Building Code of Australia, local authority requirements and relevant planning requirements. Assess the land found by the land team to determine the suitability of house and land packages. Update drawings with variations as per client requests whilst ensuring they meet standards. Ensure all drawings are completed with 100% accuracy to reflect customer requirements as described in the sales estimate, as well as in accordance with building standards. Use the iHub software to provide accurate contract information including pricing and specifications to the contracts team. Maintain and improve relationships with all internal departments, external customers, suppliers, agents and contractors. Ensuring time frames are met whilst maintaining quality. Problem solving drafting related matters. Contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative and drafting procedures, templates and systems. About you: Our ideal candidate will have 3+ years' Australian experience in a similar role with a combination of the following technical skills, attributes and experience: A tertiary qualification in Building Design/Drafting or equivalent. Advanced proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD. The ability to manage multiple projects at the same time. Sound knowledge of Building Regulations, Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards related to residential construction. Experience working with offshore teams highly regarded.
