Early Childhood Educator Role
Hume City Council is seeking dedicated Early Childhood professionals to support the growth and development of children in play-based programs.
The ideal candidate will work collaboratively within a Long Day Care team to develop and implement educational programs, creating inclusive, secure, and interactive learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Nominated Supervisor/Certified Supervisor: Manage the service in accordance with the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and Regulations 2011.
* Develop and implement a program that brings together philosophies, children's ideas, and intentional teaching to scaffold and extend children's learning.
* Create a professional collaborative relationship and inclusive partnership with early childhood colleagues to ensure opportunities for children's learning and development.
* Provide an environment that supports family-centred practice, encourages individual family needs, and recognises cultural backgrounds.
Required Qualifications & Certifications:
* Diploma of Children's Services/Certificate 3 in Children's Services
* Experience in Long Day Care Services
* Sound knowledge of the Child Safe Standards and Reportable Conduct
* Working with Children's Check
* Certificate for Provide First Aid in an education and care setting
