At Kurrajong Lodge we understand that the transition to an aged care facility can be an emotional and challenging time for a new resident and their family. This is why the team at Kurrajong Lodge focuses on resident wellbeing and encourages family and friends to play an active part in residents’ life. You'll be part of a rotating 7-day, 24-hour roster, including participation in an on-call schedule. In this role, you'll provide person-centred care to a diverse group of residents. Your tasks will be aligned with your education and competence level, ensuring we maintain high standards of care in line with our policies and goals. The successful applicants will be excellent communicators with a sound understanding/knowledge of ACFI, Aged Care Standards and Quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities Caring for a diverse range of residents in varied care settings. Participate in the provision of resident focused, holistic care. Plan, implement and evaluate evidence based nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes for our residents. Work collaboratively with the Care Community Manager to facilitate and foster best practice standards in nursing care to residents and their families and carers. Qualifications and experience Eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and hold a current Practicing Certificate. Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain. Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills, commensurate with experience. This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 - 2028. The classification is Registered Nurse Grade 2 (YP2 - YP9) which ranges from $40.15 - $50.68 per hour.
