Your role:
As the Head of Trade Sales, you will lead our trade team through an exciting period of growth. This high-profile role will provide you with the opportunity to be in the spotlight and drive the performance and growth of the portfolio through the development of the trade strategy and its execution through your leadership. Key to your success in this role, will be your ability to demonstrate growth through market share gains, enhancing sales profitability and financial performance targets through your team. We represent market leading brands that have a wide range of technical applications across the trade and industrial markets. The sales team interfaces principally with engineers, architects, applicators, civil and construction companies and builders. You are a strong and collaborative individual who provides influential leadership to both direct and indirect reports and creates a culture of accountability, excellence and success. You will have extensive experience leading a team at a national level, have a commercial growth mindset and be performance and results oriented.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the team to deliver commercial objectives including sales value, sales volume, share growth and profit targets
2. Develop, internally align and execute the trade sales strategy and plans to achieve business objectives
3. Deliver ‘Win, Win’ customer solutions that make Selleys the products of choice to trade professionals
4. Be a strong, positive and productive member of the Selleys Trade Leadership Team
5. Work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, R&D, Finance, and suppliers to develop and implement strategies for pricing, promotional programs, product mix and margin
6. Willingness to travel nationally, as required

Skills & Experience:
1. Experience managing national sales teams within complex trade and/or industrial environments
2. Familiarity with construction-based products and the professional user customer market
3. Ability to analyse and interpret data to identify commercial drivers and forecasts
4. High customer service orientation with strong influencing and negotiating skills
5. Strategic thinker with the ability to adapt to changing market conditions
