About the Role
Casual Hospitality Assistants will provide assistance in the daily front of house and function/event operations of the Waterfront Pantry, including meeting room and dining room set ups/pack downs and general waiter service over all dining periods.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with other team members to deliver front of house and food and beverage services, maintain service standards and processes.
* Provide a high level of customer service, ensuring guests are greeted professionally with a high standard of presentation.
* Preparation and maintenance of function and meeting rooms, including set up and pack down of furniture.
* Stocking of tea and coffee stations and ensuring communal catering areas are kept clean and tidy.
* Preparation of Barista Coffee as needed.
* Food and beverage service including breakfast, lunch, and dinner service and corporate event catering.
* Conduct payment transactions.
* Performing any additional tasks as instructed, consistent with the scope and classification of the position.
Requirements
* Excellent hospitality skills and previous experience in hospitality settings.
* Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to produce clear and accurate communications that are appropriate for their intended audience.
* Proven capability to work positively and effectively as part of a collaborative work team, accommodate and thrive in diverse working styles, and work independently when necessary.
* Demonstrate the ability to exercise sound judgment, initiative, diplomacy, tact, and discretion when dealing with different members of the public.
* Ability to use initiative, seek resolutions to concerns to meet customer and business needs.
This is a casual hourly paid role at HEW 1 rate ($37.49 per hour + 11% superannuation). A Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate is mandatory for this position. You may be required to work outside normal business hours (nights, weekends, early mornings).
