Quality Engineer - CAF Rail Australia - Dubbo

We are currently seeking a Quality Engineer within the Mindyarra Maintenance Centre based in Dubbo. The role is responsible for final acceptance of the trains by the Customer, managing documentation and coordinating activities to ensure that the final product is up to the highest quality standards.
This role involves liaising with Customers regarding product acceptance, reviewing specifications and modifications, and reporting quality concerns raised back to the applicable manufacturing plant.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Quality
Manage quality projects to meet contractual requirements and satisfy customer expectations.
Investigate and identify potential risks.
Improve business processes to ensure high quality products.
Support projects by facilitating adequate communication with all stakeholders.
Assist manufacturing teams with analysis and problem solving as required.
Conduct data analysis to produce indicators, statistics and presentations.
Promote quality culture throughout the Company.
Manage priorities in-line with project objectives.
Ensure compliance with all AU WHSE legislation and HSE Company policy.
Be fully familiar and conversant with department and Company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are always fully compliant.
Provide support to other departments and undertake additional duties as required by the line manager.
Ensure all work carried out is compliant with organizational quality management systems, policies and procedures.
Perform other ad-hoc duties and participate in special projects as required.
Record Keeping
Ensure accurate records are completed and maintained in accordance with company procedures.
Communicate place and work in progress to Line Managers and team members.
Health & Safety
Conduct Health & Safety inspections in accordance with the Health & Safety policy and procedure in place, and ensure actions are complete and/or progress on actions reported.
Ensure that all work carried out within the team(s) is compliant with AU Health & Safety legislation and organizational Health & Safety policies.
General
Participate in team and one-on-one meetings, and undertake relevant training as required.
Stay updated on company policies, procedures, standards and legislative requirements that impact the role.
Promote the Company by whatever means appropriate and available, to ensure a positive image to internal/external customers/clients.
Ensure strict confidentiality is maintained regarding the Company, its dealings, transactions and all other information relating to clients/customers, staff etc.
Demonstrate commitment to the aims and objectives of the Company and the implementation of its Equal Opportunities policy in the workplace.
Requirements PROFILE
Minimum 5 years' experience in similar or related roles.
Possess a tertiary qualification relevant to the position such as University education equivalent to a Higher Engineering Diploma/Master's Degree in the respective field or an Engineering Diploma/Bachelor's Degree.
Experience with office management software e.g. MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, specifically).
