We are seeking an Institutional Research Salesperson (Sydney based) to service Asia-based institutional clients. This role will involve collaboration with the sales team in distributing Australian and Offshore research products to institutional offshore clients. Managing accounts for Offshore Institutional clients will include presenting stock ideas, industry trends, and research analysis to investors and collaborating with the Australian and Offshore Sales, research, and trading teams. The preferred candidate will enhance analyst visibility and connectivity with institutional clients, generate sales ideas based on our client’s research products and promote corporate events, conferences, and roadshows as well as accompanying clients on company visits and travelling to Asia with corporates and analysts when required. You will maintain strong working relationships with corporates, clients, government entities, and industry organizations. Candidates of interest will come with a minimum of 2 years’ experience within equities research sales or potentially maybe an equities research analyst currently looking to transition to the sales desk. You will hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or higher in a business-related discipline, preferably with a focus in finance or accounting and have strong analytical and organizational skills, proficiency in Excel and spreadsheet management, strong attention to detail and the ability to perform under pressure. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role as is high commercial awareness and strong relationship management skills with internal and external clients.
