About the role: As Legal Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the company's growth by managing legal processes and contracts.
Reviewing and updating legal documents from existing templates, working to reduce risk and maximise opportunities.
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex agreements relevant to renewable energy projects.
Controlling external legal costs during financial close processes by handling ancillary documents internally and minimising external legal requirements.
Supporting the EPC team in negotiating and drafting subcontract documentation, assessing contractual risk and developing solid commercial agreements.
Providing input to the Australia team on legal workstreams and advising on resolving legal issues.
Managing external lawyers, including fee negotiations and overseeing their work to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Experience/Qualifications required: Bachelors degree in Law, Masters degree is highly regarded 6-10 years of post-qualification experience, preferably within the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.
Proven track record in drafting, managing, and negotiating complex contracts.
Experience working with external counsel and managing legal budgets.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously and within a team.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to anticipate potential legal issues and develop mitigation strategies.
