The Teachers and Teaching Research Centre (TTRC), led by Laureate Professor Jenny Gore, is a highly successful research centre at the University of Newcastle. The TTRC has a vision to enact positive social change through education by conducting rigorous, relevant and meaningful educational research. The Role In this role you will: Collaborate in development and implementation of research projects, including data collection, analysis (quantitative and/or qualitative) and interpretation. Contribute to outputs in high quality refereed journals consistent with the discipline. This one-year full time fixed term position (with a possibility for extension) will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal land). How will you become part of our community? The successful candidate will have: A doctoral qualification (or submitted thesis) or equivalent accreditation and standing in Education or related social science discipline with a focus on Education. A demonstrated record of publication in high-quality outlets. Demonstrated experience with quantitative and/or qualitative research, including data collection, analysis and interpretation. A demonstrated ability to develop and maintain meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated high-level organisational skills and ability to prioritise effectively, with flexibility and resilience to manage competing demands and deadlines. Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills. Capacity for self-directed and collaborative work. Capacity for some inter-state and intra-state travel, as required for data collection, conferences and stakeholder meetings. A valid NSW driver's licence. A current Working with Children Clearance.
