A work culture that values you. About this role As a growing region, Townsville Home Care is looking for dedicated Qualified Home Care Workers to join their team of compassionate professionals. This role involves working a minimum of 18 hours per fortnight, assisting elderly clients to live safely and independently in their own homes while promoting their well-being and autonomy. Home Care Workers in this position work independently, traveling from one client to another and are fully supported by a skilled team that includes very supportive Team Leaders and Senior Home Care Workers who guide and assist field staff when working autonomously. To ensure they receive the highest standard of care, your reliability is crucial for maintaining regular shifts and providing coverage during both planned and unexpected absences. Key Responsibilities Support clients with daily activities such as showering, dressing, and toileting. Assist clients with their medication routines, ensuring adherence to prescribed regimens. Help with household tasks, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. Provide companionship, assist with social outings, and support clients in engaging with their communities. Contribute to the development and review of individualized care plans, ensuring they meet clients' needs and preferences. What you can bring to the team This position requires a Qualified Home Care Worker to provide personalized assistance to clients, helping them maintain their independence and enhancing their quality of life within their chosen community. You will be a valued member of the team, working closely with and reporting to our very supportive Senior Home Care Workers as needed. To be suitable for the position, ideally you have: Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent A minimum of 12 months' experience in a direct care role. (Desirable) A current driver’s license and a reliable, registered, and comprehensively insured vehicle suitable for work purposes are essential for this role. (Reimbursement of $0.96 per KM is provided for use of own vehicle) Possess or willingness to obtain; Assist clients with medication Certificate - HLTHPS006 Up-to-date First Aid and CPR Certification A current National Police Certificate Current Influenza Vaccination.
