We are searching for a compassionate, forward-thinking leader to guide our mission of "Building Better Men" with warmth and vision.ABOUT THE ROLEReporting to the CEO, the MOB Academy Manager role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of the Academy by leading its strategic growth and development. As the driving force behind the Academy’s vision, you will take on full responsibility for professional leadership and management, ensuring excellence across all areas, including education, student outcomes, and wellbeing. An inspirational leader, you’ll be at the heart of creating an inspiring and vibrant atmosphere that fosters both engagement and fulfillment for students and staff, while promoting a positive, supportive, and safe learning environment.You will be extremely collaborative and work closely with the Executive Leadership team and various MOB leaders across the Academy to achieve business goals and objectives.This is your chance to make a lasting impact and inspire success at every level.RESPONSIBILITIESOPERATIONSServe as a visible and accessible leader, engaging with employees at all levels of the organization to listen, communicate, and inspire alignment with the organization's vision, values, and goals.Establish clear performance expectations, metrics, and goals for the team and hold members accountable for results, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.Regularly review and assess organizational performance against strategic objectives, making data-driven decisions and adjustments as needed to drive continuous improvement and achievement of key milestones.Lead by example in embracing change, fostering resilience, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning.Develop and deliver organizational strategy through an approved Strategic Plan.Develop sound operational plans aligned with strategic business goals.Explore and investigate ‘world leading’ practices in boys’ education, ‘MOBIFYING’ them where appropriate for implementation in the MOB Academy.FINANCIAL HEALTH, GROWTH & PROSPERITYWork closely with the CEO and the Board of Directors to present financial reports and analysis to key stakeholders, facilitating informed strategic planning.Provide strategic guidance and support to company leaders on financial matters, including investment decisions, capital structure, special projects, and growth opportunities.REGULATORY COMPLIANCE & GOVERNANCEReview, approve, and refine organizational policies and philosophies to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices.Monitor systems and controls to ensure compliance with applicable industry and regulatory requirements, including child protection, health and safety, and employment laws.Provide key performance metrics, financial updates, strategic initiatives, education projects, and other relevant matters in Board Reports.Uphold the safety and wellbeing of children and young people by adhering to the Child Safety National Principles and MOB’s Child Safety policies and procedures.PEOPLE AND CULTUREProvide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to empower team members and support their growth and success.Lead the team in translating strategic objectives into actionable plans and initiatives, ensuring alignment across all departments and functions.Invest time and emotional energy into understanding our people and building teams that are aligned and believers in the vision and values of MOB Academy.Encourage ‘fun’ but insist on professionalism amongst our people.MOB HQ PROJECT & SPECIAL PROJECTS TEAMSupport the goals and objectives for the Special Projects Team in alignment with organizational priorities and strategic initiatives including major projects like the MOB HQ development.Provide expertise and guidance to the Special Projects Team on areas that specifically relate to the MOB Academy, such as classroom design, student management and flow in facility, staffing requirements, and teaching resources.Support the fundraising strategies and campaigns to generate financial support for the organization's programs, projects, and initiatives.COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTSupport strategies to engage with the local community, including residents, businesses, organizations, and government agencies, to build support and partnerships for the organization's mission and initiatives.Represent the organization at community events, forums, and meetings to raise awareness, advocate for relevant issues, and promote collaborative efforts to address community needs.Be pro-active in cultivating relationships with community leaders, influencers, and stakeholders to enhance the organization's visibility, reputation, and impact within the community.REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree or higher in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.Strong knowledge of educational principles, curriculum development, and instructional best practices.Knowledge of, and experience in leading boys' education.Knowledge of, and experience in school governance and compliance.Knowledge of, and experience in forecasting and managing budgets.Demonstrated experience in successfully leading the growth of an organization.Demonstrated experience in reporting to a Board or Executive.Ideally, we would like to see this position commence Term 1, 2025.Applications close Monday 11th of November 2024.MOB BENEFITSWorking from a modern facility, you will be provided with a space that encourages innovation and creativity.
