ABOUT YOU - QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
1. Qualified to City & Guilds level or above
2. Good at problem solving and fault finding
3. A strong understanding and interpretation of electrical drawings and the ability to produce them.
4. Hands-on knowledge of electronics, electrical and PLC control systems.
5. Experienced with variable drive systems and 3-phase supplied systems.
6. Carried out job risk assessments, Portable Appliance Testing, having a good understanding of health and safety
7. Good decision-making skills with strong organisation skills
8. Time served electrician
9. An understanding of Health and Safety Legislation
10. Knowledge of rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
11. Excellent verbal and written skills
12. Ability to work on own initiative
13. Experience of electrical maintenance gained in the manufacturing sector
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Working to reduce plant downtime
2. Troubleshoot and resolve plant and equipment faults
3. Accurately and constructively carry out corrective maintenance actions
4. Practice continuous improvement, innovation and pro-activeness for improved working - offering possible solutions to issues
5. Install, repair, renew, test and maintain electrical installations as required, meeting all site requirements
6. Carry out planned routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, corrective maintenance on site machinery
7. Complete all necessary documentation and ensure it is kept up to date
8. Isolation and de-isolations in accordance with permit to work code of practice
9. General electrical maintenance and repair of buildings and facilities
10. Ensure good engineering and housekeeping procedures in all work areas.
