About the role
Laing O'Rourke Rail Operations- Signalling (NSW) is rapidly growing and looking for experienced Rail Signalling Electricians to join our team. We are currently undergoing a large amount of works across Sydney and surrounding areas, including the Digital Systems project, Sydney Trains MSA projects, TAP Station Upgrade project, More Trains More Services MTMS Stage 3 project as well as specialised regional track support and installation works.
We are currently recruiting for multiple Rail Signalling Electrician personnel to join our team based out of our Seven Hills Depot. You will be required to work across all our Sydney sites, implementing varying levels of Signalling works for activities being undertaken in the rail corridor. There is potential to travel to regional areas as and when required.
Minimum Requirements:
Current C Class Drivers Licence
Construction industry white card
Rail Industry Worker Card (RIW), with the following
Licenced Sydney Trains Signal Electrician
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
Certificate of Competency on both Sydney Trains and ARTC networks as a signal electrician
Full ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including Rail CAT Specific medical & drug and alcohol screening
Available to cover weekends, based on project requirements.

Excellent communicators and able to confidently work with high performance rail teams
Able to work weekends and nightshifts when required

Undertake additional training as and when required
Solid experience working effectively in a team-based environment
Experience adapting to change in a working environment
Willingness to embrace new ideas/learning
Solid time management and organisational skills
Practical experience in risk assessment of activities and tasks
Willingness to mentor and train new team members joining the project team
Ability to compile Signalling packages for specific project works
