We are seeking an Associate with 4-5 years of post-admission experience to join our Real Estate practice group.
We look for talented people who demonstrate the core competencies required for success – strong communication skills; the ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment; excellent technical and drafting skills; and a demonstrated commerciality and client focus.
In this client facing role, you will have the opportunity to be heavily involved in advising a wide range of our clients across a diverse range of areas within the real estate and land development sector.
This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with our three commercial property Partners Bianca McGoldrick, Lance Hilton-Barber and Fabrice Lincoln, to learn from their experience and to contribute with your initiative and hands-on approach, as well as mentor junior practitioners within the team.
About you The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
4 - 5 years of post-admission experience working as a property lawyer in WA;Strong technical skills, including proven experience and legal knowledge in areas such as:due diligence;preparation and negotiation of contracts to buy and sell property;undertaking settlements, including on PEXA;preparation of off the plan strata contracts;commercial, industrial and retail leasing (landlord and tenant);land development, particularly subdivision;drafting easements and restrictive covenants;retirement villages;urban renewal projects.Confidence with speaking publicly, with clients or with other lawyers.About Us At Jackson McDonald, we believe that diversity is a strength which helps us better advise our clients and positively grow our business.
