As a Clinical Governance Officer – Mental Health, you'll support the credentialing, compliance, and quality improvement processes for mental health professionals. This role ensures the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality care by conducting clinical credentialing, overseeing training initiatives, and contributing to risk and complaint management processes. Working with a multidisciplinary team, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in mental health services.
As aClinical Governance Officer – Mental Healthin theClinical Quality and Compliance Team, you'll make a positive impact by:
Supporting credentialing and compliance processes for mental health roles
Contributing to the development and delivery of mental health training programs
Investigating clinical incidents and complaints, and contributing to professional improvement plans
Participating in strategic planning and quality improvement activities
Providing subject matter advice to stakeholders and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures

You are passionate about mental health and have a strong understanding of clinical governance. You're experienced in training and investigations and are skilled at balancing competing priorities in dynamic environments. Your ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams ensures the highest standards of care.
To be successful in this role you'll have:
A tertiary qualification in Mental Health or Psychology, with current AHPRA registration
At least 3 years of full-time work experience in a mental health role, post-registration, within the last 6 years
Experience in clinical interviewing, credentialing, and delivering clinical education and training
Skills in clinical incident investigations, complaints management, and peer review processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong proficiency in IT systems
Flexibility and adaptability in highly changing environments
