The school shares the site with Rockingham SHS and we have adopted a collaborative approach to planning, sharing, and delivering innovative experiences for all our students.We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Student Support Coordinator to join our Student Services team and help enhance our school programs. The Student Support Coordinator will have a key role in the day-to-day running of a variety of student support programs and initiatives and should ensure an effective and responsive service for students. The successful applicant's responsibilities include:Providing pastoral care.Monitoring attendance.Facilitating referrals.Managing and delivering targeted programs for identified students (Tier 2 and Tier 3).Connecting families with external services, including the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).The successful applicant plays a key role in coordinating the successful running of the school's Student Services team, programs, and area, and demonstrates exceptional skills in working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of educators, school psychologists, and external partners, ensuring a coordinated and holistic approach to student support.The successful applicant will actively engage in meetings and case conferences within the school, and when necessary, with external agencies. Additionally, you will provide support to the School Administration team in handling crisis management and response tasks as required.Knowledge, understanding, and experience of working with students with disabilities, trauma-informed practice, and skills in supporting students' emotional regulation will be considered favourably.
