Manage and coordinate the research and evaluation activities of a specific research project across northern Queensland.

A full-time 36.25 hour per week fixed-term position to 30 June 2026.

About the Role
The Principal Research Officer will oversee and project manage the research and evaluation activities of the project across northern Queensland.
This includes coordinating ethics approvals, managing project reporting, liaising with and supporting participating sites, and facilitating data collection and analysis.
The role involves engaging with stakeholders and assisting with both quantitative and qualitative analyses to assess the project's processes, impacts, and outcomes.
Key Qualifications and Skills
* A postgraduate qualification and research experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
* Demonstrable understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander healthcare context.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders.
* A knowledge of health services, and the higher education and research sector, including ethics requirements.
About the Research Project
The CRCNA and TAAHC-funded project aims to enhance the First Nations health workforce in northern Queensland by synthesizing knowledge, engaging with health equity teams, and co-designing, implementing, and evaluating strategies to boost the representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in clinical and non-clinical health roles.
