Positions are being offered on a Full or Part time permanent basis. Where you'll be working Ward 8 B has a strong focus on multidisciplinary teamwork, with cross referrals between the physicians and surgeons, and daily team meetings. The Ward is supported by enthusiastic nursing staff, a variety of allied health professionals, Clinical Nurse Consultants for Stomal Therapy and Total Parenteral Nutrition, and a Ward Based Clinical Nurse Educator. The senior staff on Ward 8 B includes Clinical Nurse Specialists. Staff are provided with a supportive environment and are encouraged to extend their skills. We also provide a Structured Orientation and Preceptorship program. A Stomal Therapy Certificate course is offered through the NSW College of Nursing. What you'll be doing Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individual/s and the greater health care team to achieve quality patient care outcomes. People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply. Candidates will need to meet the following criteria: Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Current experience in an acute hospital setting. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem-solving ability. Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
