Our client is a leader in process technology, known for their design and build of turnkey process plants and robotic systems. The company is looking to build upon their success in Australia and are now looking for an Automation Engineer with a hardware background, to join the team in Melbourne to further grow the company's presence across the pharmaceutical & life science industries. Key Responsibilities: Create electrical design diagrams, layout drawings and network topologies. Develop standard documents for switchgear and control systems. Provide technical support to installers. Create I/O lists, design specifications and configure hardware. Independent order processing, from concept to realization. Carry out FAT and commissioning work, as well as IQ on site for the hardware. Required Skills & Experience: Must have 3+ years hardware engineering experience within automation. Pharmaceutical background is highly regarded. Will consider other highly regulated industry experience, such as food & beverage, oil & gas or mining. You will know SCADA and PLCs, with an ability to program PLCs. Any on-site commissioning exposure is highly regarded. Capable of resolving technical issues independently. Communicates well and can relate cross-functionally, as you will lead engineers and projects from a technical perspective. A team player, able to work in a small business environment and willing to take on additional responsibilities when required for the benefit of the team. Will have a Degree in Engineering.
