Staff Specialist Paediatrician
The Specialised Intellectual Disability Health Team (SIDHT) is based at our HNELHD Wallsend Campus and provides a dedicated multidisciplinary team. As a senior member of the SIDHT, you will provide contemporary specialist services for children and young people with an intellectual disability across Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD) and Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD).
You will support and train clinicians in HNELHD and CCLHD across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice and improve the quality of care provided to children and young people with an intellectual disability.
Eligibility Criteria
* A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Paediatrics and Child Health Division)
* Recent experience in paediatrics and desirable experience working with intellectual disability patients
* Available to work clinic days – Tuesday and Wednesday
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership
