Division: Homes NSW Location: Parramatta, NSW, AU, 2150 Req ID: 70591 Executive Director Housing Policy and Strategy Based in Parramatta – hybrid and flexible arrangements available PSSE Band 2 ongoing position available $311,348 - $347,502 total remuneration payable Your role The Executive Director, Housing Policy and Strategy will be leading the Policy and Strategy branch of Homes NSW within the Department of Communities and Justice. What you’ll do You will lead strategy development to help design the social and affordable housing sector. You will have responsibility for identifying and driving regulatory reform and evaluation across homelessness, social, affordable, and key worker housing. You will also: Lead the development of the 10-year Homes for NSW plan and other strategic initiatives. Develop governance and compliance functions including Statement of Business Intent, Business Plans, and Strategic Asset Management Plans. Drive the Homes NSW strategy, design, implementation, and performance measures to ensure better outcomes for Aboriginal families and communities, in line with DCJ principles and Closing the Gap targets. Lead coordination of Homes NSW’s Aboriginal cultural capability, including support of the Aboriginal Housing Network, Ngarra. Delivers evidence based, data driven strategic policy, planning and governance advice to Homes NSW executive leadership team and the NSW Government. Build and maintain effective, collaborative housing and homelessness relationships and networks within NSW, other States and Territories and the Commonwealth. What we’re looking for Strong understanding of the social, affordable and homelessness systems including funding mechanisms, programs, and service delivery. Ability to identify market opportunities and gaps and develop innovative solutions. Exceptional stakeholder management skills to build comprehensive and strategic partnerships across the public and social housing sectors. Passion and interest in improving outcomes for those in the public housing system. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, foster a collaborative and high performing culture.
