Your Role:
As a leader, you will take ownership and actively create a positive change. You will lead one of our maintenance teams, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of key maintenance and delivery projects across the Southern Highlands.
Your Responsibilities:
Working collaboratively with your crew to resolve issues and find the best solutions to problems that may arise. Managing any conflict between team members or related external stakeholders. Mentoring and leading by example when providing on-the-job training to team members in accordance with relevant procedures. Ensuring safety remains front and centre when performing daily activities and that all environmental and quality controls are implemented on site. Ensuring scheduled maintenance activities are completed within desired timeframes and within budget in accordance with TfNSW specifications and operating procedures. This position will work a 9-day fortnight roster. You may be required to work outside of normal working hours for incident response to our road network; therefore, we require the successful applicant to reside within 50 km of the Welby depot.
We're seeking a proactive and organised leader with extended knowledge and experience in a civil construction environment who can provide strong leadership to bring out the best in their team. You will be an excellent communicator with great negotiation and conflict resolution skills, and you will have a proven ability to follow appropriate safe working procedures and resolve routine problems independently.
Minimum Requirements:
Valid White card Traffic Control certification Valid unrestricted NSW Driver's licence Experience operating as a Road Worker Grade 3 or related labouring experience in a civil construction environment, and sound experience using internal reporting systems will be required. An MR truck licence, while not essential, would be advantageous.
