This purpose-built clinic has a sensory gym, various therapy rooms, nature play area, messy/art therapy area, garden therapy area, sandplay & symbol work room. The practice also works in the communities on the Atherton Tablelands. Position Description: Assessment and ongoing treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults with a variety of needs. Designing individualised, family-centred and holistic therapy intervention plans and programs and conducting hands-on therapy sessions. Communication with external stakeholders including general practitioners, paediatricians, preschool teachers, teachers, and other health professionals involved in the client's care. Combination of clinic-based and off-site intervention, including daycare, kindy, school, workplace, and home visits as well as use of rented clinic rooms in other communities. Independently managing a clinical caseload with a high standard of clinical reasoning, including managing bookings, time, and treatment plans, as well as understanding the financial aspects related to appointments, travel, and administrative duties. Ensuring efforts to meet billable targets and client-related work are a priority for the overall sustainability of the business. Working collaboratively with the Director to create programs, resources, and workplace efficiencies. Ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately, confidentially, and maintained at all times. Ensuring written, verbal, and electronic/telehealth communication is of excellent standards. Ensuring client confidentiality and Intellectual Property ownership are respected at all times. Providing supervision of students, therapy assistants, and support workers, including development of programs, care plans, and resources to assist with their development and performance. Adhering to the practice's policies and procedures. Following the principles of the Occupational Therapy Australia Code of Ethics, NDIS Code of Ethics, Ahpra Code of Conduct, as well as any other relevant codes of behaviour or conduct. Qualifications & Experience: Occupational therapy qualification. AHPRA registration. Current Drivers Licence. Preferred 2 years experience in paediatric occupational therapy services, OR a genuine passion and desire to develop paediatric skills. Able to independently problem-solve and analyse client needs, conduct assessments, write high-quality reports, and provide therapy intervention sessions and programs. Passionate about helping people overcome challenges and ensuring the service is of excellent quality. Ability to think outside the box. Great at all forms of communication. Able to understand the private practice model and value the needs and health of the business in supporting therapists to provide excellent quality services. Job Type: Permanent - Full time (38 hours per week) Salary Information:$80,000 - $105,000 per annum, depending on experience and skills, the position may be between HP Level 3 and HP Level 4 of Health Professionals and Support Services Awards.
