Operating from 12 locations across South Australia, we directly employ around 200 NDIS participants within our own diverse portfolio of business operations and work with jobseekers in Disability Employment Services (DES) to find open employment opportunities.
About the role As the Finance Manager, you will lead and manage the finance team, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). You will play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, analysis, and compliance, while also fostering relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners such as auditors and banks. This is a hands-on role that requires a strategic approach to financial management to ensure the sustainable growth of Mobo Group.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the finance team, including direct reports of one Accountant and two Finance Officers. Oversee end-to-end financial reporting, including month-end close within 5 working days. Assist the CFO with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling. Maintain the integrity of financial data through robust internal controls and balance sheet reconciliations. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including timely completion of BAS, FBT, and audit requirements. Support business unit managers with financial insights, budgeting, and decision-making. Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting. Promote a collaborative and high-performance team culture. About You You are a proven leader with strong financial acumen and the ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven organisation. You are confident in making strategic decisions and enjoy mentoring and developing your team.
Accounting or Business Degree with CA/CPA certification. Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior financial role. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Proven experience in managing a finance team and meeting deadlines. Experience in both commercial and not-for-profit sectors. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI.
