Position Profile:
We are seeking to appoint successful candidates to the position of Clinical Nurse Consultant - Mental Health.
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) Mental Health is responsible for providing a WA Country Health Service (WACHS) wide clinical consultancy service within an assigned area of specialty and across the age spectrum; developing standards of practice; implementing change to clinical practice; educating staff and initiating research and quality improvement activities.
The CNC is responsible for the provision of an advanced level of care relevant to WACHS and provides mentorship and role modelling for nurses/midwives; contributes to the advancement of the profession; in keeping with the vision and values of the WA Country Health Service.
The CNC is responsible for the provision of timely and specialised mental health and drug and alcohol consultancy services to WACHS regional health services using audio-visual modalities. The CNC will conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for use by the referring clinicians. The CNC will support WACHS clinicians in the delivery of quality mental health care to patients in WACHS health services.
