About the role
As a key member of the Richmond Maintenance Team, this role is responsible for providing leadership, guidance and support to Aircraft Maintenance Engineers who ensure delivery of contracted maintenance outcomes at Richmond NSW in support of the C-J Through Life Support Program.
In this role, you will work alongside two other Aircraft Maintenance Team Leads and you will lead maintenance teams performing various maintenance activities, while ensuring the best optimisation of resources at all times.
About the team
The Airbus Richmond Maintenance team provides maintenance services to support the RAAF fleet of 12 C-J aircraft.
Typical maintenance activities at our Richmond site include:
1. Base Maintenance including: servicing,inspection,rectification andrepair of major structural and mechanical components
2. Major avionics system upgrades and modifications
3. Advanced troubleshooting and testing of aircraft mechanical and avionics systems
4. Off aircraft component repair and servicing
About you
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who is able to work in a large and complex team environment, have well developed relationship skills as well as good verbal and written skills. You will need to be someone who is able to work autonomously and to tight deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment.
The skills and experience best suited to this role include:
5. Demonstrated experience in technical or maintenance management in the aviation industry
6. Proven experience in people management with a focus on leading a united team in the achievement of measurable results
7. Detailed knowledge of all facets of maintenance management, including maintenance management systems, planning, equipment and parts management, and maintenance delivery types (base, deeper, operational, flight line, components, etc.)
8. Understanding of interdependencies between maintenance, support engineering, and supply chain
9. Demonstrated track record in driving process improvement, balancing best practices with contractual/service requirements, and delivering on service targets
10. Knowledge of applicable aviation maintenance legislation and regulations (e.g. CASR, DASR), standards
You must be eligible for an Australian Government Security Clearance (Baseline Vetting) and have the capacity to satisfy pre-employment criminal history checks and medical screening which may include drug and alcohol testing.
